Christmas Candy Land

I have to say, I love, love, LOVE the deco mesh. It is so easy to use and I am very much satisfied with the end result. I do think, however, I need a bigger door!! I promise there is garland under there...somewhere. =)

Handmade Ornaments with Mod Podge

This is one of my favorite times of the year as I am sure it is most of yours as well. I love the old classic Christmas songs and the hot cocoa and all the lights! This season makes you feel like a giddy little kid again. =) Here are a few ornaments I made to add to my front door garland this year. Super easy to make but a bit time consuming. Directions are at the bottom.

I did these 2 different ways.
On the first ornament, I used an old book and tore the pages into pieces and glued them on with Mod Podge Matte.

OR

You can stamp images all over paper and then tear them into pieces and glue them on which is what I did for the snowflakes and Music note ornaments.

It is as simple as that.

Merry Christmas!

Tassel Decor

I was browsing through one of my favorite stores the other day. It is one of those stores where you go in with a list and just get completely lost in it. I was inspired by a decorative tassel. I have a very simple rule when I shop/browse in stores like this and it is as follows: If I can make it myself, I won't by it. I stumbled upon this adorable decorative tassel and after looking at it for a moment, I decided I could make this myself! So, I purchased the supplies and went home and made one for my future craft room door. We are getting ready to move in a month and I just can't wait to hang it up!! I will finally have my own craft room!!! WOOHOO!
If you want a decorative tassel made just by you, you can! I will be following up with a tutorial soon so, stay tuned!

Fall Acorn Wreath

I made this fall wreath for a friend to give as a birthday gift to her MIL.  I love making these! I just adore how they can change a front door. That rhymed a bit...hmmm. No I think I will stick to crafting instead of writing poetry. =) Anyway, Thanks for looking!

"F" Door Decor

I made this for a friend whose last name starts with the letter F. She wanted blues and oranges. I love this color combo so much that my living room is in these colors!! I added a little bling to the center of the gerbers and some homemade "shimmer mist" to the entire piece! This is going to look fabulous on her front door!

Door Decor

These are some spring decorations that I made using a wire hanger or 2 and fake flowers. I made the "H" & the big butterfly for my mom and the orange "R" for my friend who just got married. The pink and green butterfly and the dark purple and green "R'' is for my door. They were fun to make!! Heck, it's all fun to make! =)

This is a Fall wreath that I made for my mom to hang on her door! Not too much sparklies in this one but just enough! This one was by far the trickiest to make!

This is my fall wreath I made in 2008. I had a lot of fun making this one.
This is an altered Christmas wreath. I bought the main portion from Pier 1 Imports and later decided to jazz it up with sparklies. I love Sparklies!! This one is also from 2008.
