"Love Soars" Bridal Shower

Welcome to my future Sister-in Laws Bridal Shower!

Come on in and make yourself at home.

"Welcome to This Nest"

I had a small area for the guests to write down their addresses on an envelope for "Thank You" cards.

Does the picture look familiar? If not, you can check it out here.

"Love Soars" Bridal Shower Mason Jars

I love the mason jars everyone has been using. I think they scream summertime! I added a little bit of twine and cut-outs of sparrows to them. Everyone at the shower wrote their name in white so, not only would they would know what glass was theirs but, it also helped everyone with each others names. An easy way to get to know who someone is and still enjoy a nice beverage.

"Love Soars" Bridal Shower Tablecloths & Runner

I made these vibrant tablecloths/runner for the "Love Soars" Bridal Shower. Unfortunately, I am still without a sewing machine so, I had to make due with what I had available...a glue gun!! It worked perfectly for what I needed.  They are pretty simple too, believe it or not. They really helped pull all the decor together! =)

Handmade Moss "H"

I made this Moss "H" for the "Love Soars" Bridal Shower because not only will it be the initial of my future sister-in- law's last name but I wanted her to have a keepsake she could use in her new home. Maybe as some front door decor or on her mantle.

Bird's Nest Platters

Platters are super popular right now, especially with party planning. As you know from previous posts, I have been working on a bird themed bridal shower called "Love Soars." I wanted something that resembled a bird's nest but didn't want to spend the money. I came up with making these bird's nest platters and they were pretty cheap. Definitely a win, win! Check out the tutorial!

Enjoy the pics! =)

Floss Threaded Garland

Because I had to bring the party boy to the surprise, I wasn't able to get all the pictures that I wanted. Here is my pile of floss threaded garland after the party! When this stuff gets tangled, it's over! There is no untangling this mess! At least it's a pretty pile. =)

This is what it looked like before the party. Nice and garland-like. The above picture...not so much. This was a great party filler. It hung behind the candy bar, on the candy bar and on the display table. We also hung it in the center of the room around a pillar. I think I may have found my new obsession!

Graduation Banner

Here is a closer view of the congratulations banner I made. You can see how the ends of the banner match the table runner from the candy bar.

In some of the pics you can see that I hand stitched the floss through the whole thing. Surprisingly, floss works really well for things like this.

Who would have thought!

"Words of Wisdom for Dr. Rohl"

I made 12 centerpieces for each table. All of the centerpieces featured a different dental comics in the frame which made it fun for people to go around to each table and read them all as well as mingle and meet new people.

This picture was taken right after decorating so the toppers weren't in the cupcakes yet. =(

There are the yummy cupcakes with their fun toppers! =)

There was a full sit down meal including Lino's amazing house salad, pasta and of course spumoni. Also, there were 2 pizza bars on each side of the venue. I think everyone ate very well! The food was great!

Lino's Restaurant! YUM!

Congratulations to my amazing, hard working husband!

I am so proud of you!
